Food & Beverage
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ensures that all foods and beverages manufactured in, imported into or sold in the United States are safe, wholesome and properly labeled.
Companies in the food and beverage industry must comply with the requirements set-forth in the U.S. Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), originally enacted in 1938, and subsequently amended by Congressional Acts, such as the Bioterrorism Act of 2002 (BTA) and the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).
